Role of the Board of Trustees

The BOT is responsible for the management of the school. Through the Principal and the staff it must implement learning programmes, formulate school policies and monitor student progress. It employs the staff, allocates funds, controls expenditure, provides a safe environment and develops and maintains the grounds and buildings.
Appointments:
The BOT is elected by postal ballot for a term of 3 years, with the next election due 2010.

Each month Policies and procedures under review are listed on the school noticeboard by the courtyard. .

Meetings are held at school on the first Tuesday of every month (unless it falls in the holidays) at 7.00pm. All parents are welcome to attend.

PROPERTY & GROUNDS COMMITTEE 

This committee is a subcommittee of the BOT.

Property and Grounds Rep. is the Board Liason, but not necessarily the subcommittee chair.

The committee is usually chaired by an elected Parent Representative (currently vacant)
The subcommittee helps to monitor the school’s 10 year development and maintenance plan and helps to organise small maintenance work and projects, and usually 1 working bee per term, in conjunction with the PTA when needed, when parents help maintain the grounds and facilities.
